So I had had a days rest from Saturdays w3d1 but my legs were still sore. Wasn't going to go out at all but needed to keep going. Decided to do week 2 again but even so I still found it hard, hope it gets easier on my shins as I would hate to have to stop again.
going backwards already: So I had had a days... - Couch to 5K
going backwards already
Every time we get out there and do some running, it is already a win.
Don't think of it as going backwards, more consolidating what you have already done. And as Julia says, if you are out there doing a bit of running you are already winning the battle with the couch.
I found by running the pain in my shins got better. my daughter who runs told me to ignore it. i also found voltaren gel helps and a little massage after my shower. don´t give up and don`t stop, keep going. good luck
It's normal for new runners to ache. Having the rest day between runs is important but you should soon start to lose the niggles. It's early days for you but have faith in the programme and laura and you'll be at graduation in no time
I have decided to start again from week one it's not a race to see who finishes first but as you all say just getting back off the couch. Thanks
Good luck, let us know how it goes!
