I am sure most of you know this but in case you didn't (I didn't till very recently)
If you download the nhs c25k app then you still get Laura with her hugely useful advice and encouragement etc but you can use your own music. I am on week 7 and listening to your own music really made a huge difference for me- ran faster and time went much more quickly. I wish I had known about it earlier as the podcast music can be a little bit dire at times! Hope it helps you too.

Search for it under change4life couch to 5k. I agree that it's much better to run to your own music, but last time I tried the app, some of the timings were way out. That was several weeks ago though so they may well have sorted it by now.
Thanks, i'm going to give the app a try too, the music with Laura has been good as a guide for pace but I think the time will pass quicker with my own choons too!
At least with Laura's Audiofuel music you get the correct beats to run to. The music isn't that bad and you can listen to your own music the rest of the time. I tried running to 101 Running Tracks but the bpm was all over the place.
Am I the only person who actually LIKES Laura's music? I find it quite uplifting especially on week one - there is a bit about a "road stretching out of here" and it used to give me quite a boost thinking that I would eventually be able to get out of the horrid place I was living in at the time and move somewhere nicer. (Now moved elsewhere). I also like the little bit of country guitar on week two. Good luck with the music you prefer on your runs, it's horses for courses I reckon. Best wishes.
Yes it is available for android, but only for android 4 and above. It is called Change4Life Couch to 5k on Google Play Store but doesn't get very good feedback.
