and working at a computer for a while. It then hurts to go up/down stairs and twinges while walking also twinged on my last run on Monday. It is getting a bit better just with rest but this is the second time I haven't got to WK5R3 so I'm feeling frustrated. The last time was blisters and a cold after a trip away.

I wouldn't ignore it, chances are it could get aggravated. Do you stretch post-run/between runs? Here are some links:

There are some hamstring stretches there, but wait until the pain goes away before you do them, and take them slowly and gently. It must be frustrating to have to keep stopping, but you'll get there eventually! :-)

Thanks for the links. No, I confess, no stretching, my bad. Though I do occasionally do something for my lower back in the morning. I should try to be more consistant.

I never used to stretch until I seized up one day, sometimes we learn the hard way! Hope the stretches help. :-)

I'm experiencing hamstring pain for over a week now. I was approaching Week 9.

I would rest it and not run to aggravate it more.

Always stretch before and after running. I've had hamstring injury and piriformis and despite foam roller its always my sports physio who sorts it out. Good luck!
