For me it was a mental challenge. I am relatively fit. I swim 60 lengths 3 times a week and have done for over 10 years. I also walk my dogs 2 miles a day every day. But I hated running and I needed a challenge. It took me until week 6 to get the breathing right. But since then I have really enjoyed being out across the fields behind the house. I would recommend the course to anyone who wants a challenge.
I am 63 and have just graduated after 9 weeks.... - Couch to 5K
I am 63 and have just graduated after 9 weeks. Am I one of the oldest to do this?
Well done on graduating - great achievement, my Dad has been training with me and he is 64 yrs old and we have just graduated well done to you and my dad - hope my fitness is as good as yours when i reach the same age as you, your fitness levels are out standing. Enjoy your running
Congratulations. You are older than me but hope I can manage that much exercise in ten years time. You are an inspiration.
Thanks very much. I will enjoy running to my choice of music from now on.
I graduated 3 weeks ago on my 62nd birthday, so there are a few of us not-so-oldies about!! Well done you. Keep at it.
Younglady63, well done and don't forget to claim your 'Graduate' badge!!
Isn't it great to feel able to do it? Very well done!
Thank you for the inspiration! I turned 63 just before Christmas and I'm now on week two run two having not run since my schooldays. I'm contemplating signing up for a half-marathon in September - madness!
