Restarted C25K last week after having to stop due to arthritis and a trapped nerve back in February but I am not getting the same buzz this time around and feels like more of a chore. š¤Ø Also does anyone have any advice on a reasonably priced set of headphone that will actually stay in while running as mine keep falling out.

Iām not trying to be a negative troll, comment is purely to put some logic into the post, if you donāt enjoy an exercise activity or it makes you ill then itās likely not for you, take something up you do enjoy and that doesnāt make you unwell that way you will get maximum health benefit for ever!
Thereās a huge wave of having to do running but actually you can get as good as or often better health benefits from many other forms of activities, hope that helps you
I confess that I have given up on earphones and just have my phone in the cross body bag I use for dog kit.
But if you've had that irritation and had to stop before due to health problems it is not surprising a buzz was absent. Give it time.
No buzz - no worries. Music turns tedium to enjoyment. I sorted slipping earphones by holding them in place with a sweat band. Theyāre ancient and on their last legs but blue tooth sets for running need not cost more than ten pounds. Ok, the C25k is not my music of choice but Iām preparing a fantastic playlist for post graduation with the right BPM. Good luck, persevere and you wonāt regret it. Best wishes from a fellow arthritis sufferer.
Just had to send a Ā£25 Bluetooth set back having spent ages trawling for them. Where have you seen Ā£10 ones? Thanks
Search for Canyon Bluetooth 4.1 Wireless Sport Stereo Earbuds Headphones Headset with Mic - Blue Ā£9.99 - Maybe too cheap to be any good but the ones I got years ago from these people (albeit over-ear not in-ear) still work as well as ever but rattle when shaken in the hand (not on the head thank goodness - phew).
Do you think your fear of injury is making you stressed and therefore not relaxed enough to enjoy the running? If you enjoyed it last time, just take it on day at a time and make that your goal rather than the whole programme. I have back issues and am now just starting week 7 and although I started wanting to do the whole thing my attitude was just to see how far I could go. I am hopefully of completing the 9 weeks, weāll see. Good luck.
Hi runner 2019. I'm with you. I had a break in C25K and my second attempt wasn't anywhere near as enjoyable, but after about 3 sessions I started seeing the improvement in fitness again, and that's what gives me the buzz. I've now had to stop again because of a knee injury. After 2 weeks it still doesn't feel right, so GP appointment here I come. I really am hoping I get there in the end. I'm sure you will too.
