Competed week 7 and it feels great :)

I headed out for my run just after 6 this morning because I have a very busy day ahead and I wanted to make sure that I could fit my run in. I took a steady pace throughout my 25 minute run and it felt so nice to just plod on along taking in the scenery and thoroughly enjoying my run.

I am looking forward to starting week 8, and for the first time since I started the c25k I feel confident moving on to the next week I am surprised that I am not filled with the doubt I have been in previous weeks. Fingers crossed that those extra 3 minutes don't push me to much. I am trying not to count my chickens before they hatch but I am very excited that I only 6 runs left until graduation, it's finally feeling like it is achievable.

Good luck to everyone heading out for your run today and happy running :)

Just keep the chickens lined up so that you can count them down easily. Don't do anything too wild or excitable, so as to avoid frightening them. Finally, keep smiling, because, as you have said, you have discovered a wonderful new thing in your life and chickens are always happy around smiling people.

My hubby has asked me to go with him to his first parkrun on Saturday. We will start off together but we also plan to run our own races and I intend to walk to the finish once I reach 28 minutes because I am so worried to push myself in case I pick up an injury. My hubby will leave me for dust, it's his first park run but he is an experienced runner and can easily run 5k in 20 minutes.

If you take it steady and have the stamina to continue running beyond your 28 minutes, then it shouldn't cause you any problems. Beware of the Parkrun "towing" effect, which can make you run way too fast at the start. Parkrun is special. I am sure you will both enjoy it.

That happened to me last week at the parkrun I did. This week I am going to try and run my own 5k. I suppose it all helps to move my running ability on :)

Nearly there - you can do it. Just take it steady. Park run sounds like fun. Your hubby must be very proud of you.

I have only done one park run before but I enjoyed every minute of it. My hubby is very proud even more so because I've lost 4 stone since May which has transformed my life completely :)

I followed slimming world. I've never eaten as much food per day as I do now I am following the plan, it's just subtle substitutions that I've made but they have made a huge difference :)

I have done it on & off for years , it is the best diet I think , it's just making the right choices . I've got to get half a st off so I'm back doing the plan myself .

I think once you know the basics it's pretty straight forward isn't it? I am nearly at target now. I've set it at 5 stone but think I might only go to 4 and a half, I will wait until I reach it before I fully decide.

It's vicious circle --overeating, weight gain, feel frumpy, don't want to go anywhere , nothing fits , lethargic BUT when you break it and take control wow so liberating Let us know When You reach target Amazing how you have transformed yourself in less than a year Be proud

Oh thank you (as I blush, bright Scarlett), it was now or never for me. My kids are at a very impressionable age and I wanted to set a good example. I am in my final year of an undergraduate degree at uni too so within 12 months my life has and will change greatly :)
