Also, for the start of the year Legion has created a NHSC25K team on the Jantastic challenge, I think you have to sign up before 6th January so perfect timing for the next quest.
This quest is a don't beat yourself up sort of thing. We all have lots of commitments this time of year. I for one, need a bit of support to explain to everyone that I need to go running, taking two weeks off will set me back so much.

My goal for this quest is to run at least twice a week. Obviously I would love it to be three but I am going to be realistic. Also would love not to be too hungover and do a small run Boxing Day. I have already signed up for jantastic. So my aim by the start of the next quest is to not lose any fitness over the Xmas period.
My aim this time is 3 exercise sessions each week, either outdoor runs or at the gym. Unfortunately I have to work between christmas and new year this year, so will not have as much time as I'd like for daytime running. What with visitors and visiting others I will be very busy.
Can I join your quest I usually run 3x wk but family and grandchildren all staying etc etc so 2times would be good Son in law wants to do edinburgh park run on Christmas Day so if weather ok and I can be organised with food for 15 I would like to do that as well --- but not going to get stressed if cant manage that
My goals for this quest are to do two 5K runs a week, and at least one other run (even if just a short, intervals run, just to get me out the door!). I'd like to do 10 miles/week again, but I think work and festive commitments might make that too ambitious.
As my nearest Parkrun is a good hour away (and I'm yet to do my first one!), I won't be able to do them on a regular basis, but I was thinking that it might be a nice goal for the end of each 6 week Quest. So there's an early goal for the Love to Run Valentine's Quest.
I am going to aim for at least 3 runs a week, 2 of which should be at least 5 k. I would also like to have had gait analysis and bought new trainers by the start of our next quest.
Well as I have two weeks off work over the Christmas period I am actually thinking I may have more time to run. So, my quest shall be to get out regularly and to enjoy! I want to run at least two new routes and for one of those I plan to bus out to the next town and run home. Can't wait!
What a great idea. I get bored running in circles near home but I don't like the idea of taking the car just to run in circles somewhere else. I will think about catching a bus home some time.
My goal is to run three times a week one of which will be the Boxing Day run. Unfortunately I am still under the weather, as soon as my New York bug went I developed a chesty cough and sore throat, so only managed the one run last week. It's so frustrating, but I hope I am now getting over that too. Who would have thought I would miss running so much?
Hope you're feeling better soon. It's so hard to get out the door when you don't feel well but it's worth the effort for the feeling you get afterwards, knowing you made yourself do it when you really didn't want to.
My challenge is to start to do some longer runs in the daylight as party f my bridge to 10k prog. I am going to stretch that out - it will prob become the valentine quest. Can I join in too? I am in on nerdio's Boxing Day run too.
Well, after a truly awful run today, my interim quest is to stay in good enough shape to start my 5k quest in January. This probably means running twice a week, but I will be going on Christmas morning rather than Boxing Day, I think - less family! Thanks again, RFC, for keeping us going
My goal will be to run at least twice a week.& to run at least 1k of those runs at 7mins or under.(Believe me that is a challenge for me). Thanks for this Rfc - It really helps me focus.
I'm going to set myself the goal of two, 30 minute runs a week, i think this is manageable and i know if i set myself too tough a goal and don't manage it i might feel tempted to give up altogether. if i do more then that's just a bonus.
At the moment i'm covering 3.75km in 30 mins, my challenge is to build up to to 5km in 30 mins. Might take a while!
I ran tonight. It was pouring with rain but as soon as I got our there it stopped and it was quite mild once we'd got going. I ran my longest run to date, 7.57 km We were chatting too! I find this astonishing. I can't quite believe I'm running. LOL
