I have just completed C25K & couldn't be happier!!!! Just nine weeks ago I was seriously unfit & needed to loose around 15kg, I decided it was time to take control of my life & do something about it! I discovered the NHS healthy choices, loose weight, signed up to myfitnesspal & started C25K & it really has changed my life! Really if you think you can't do it think again - I am a mum of two young children, who'd become very unfit & needing to loose 15kg - here I am 9 weeks later running nearly 6k in 30 minutes & have lost nearly 9kg - the first few weeks I found it hard work, each time I entered a new week I kept thinking "oh no - I can't do this - but I'm stubborn & was determined to keep going & pushed myself every step of the way & I've done it - and loved every moment! If you are starting out on this journey or questioning if you can keep on going the answer is YES, if I did it so can you - go for it, there is nothing better than that feeling of pride as you complete that final run! I have done it!!!! (Also arrived home to a congratulations you have done it poster & bottle of bubbly to celebrate from my lovely husband who has supported me through the last 9 weeks - I'm a very happy lady...I can't wait to get out on the road & run again!!!)
I did it!!!!!: I have just completed C25K... - Couch to 5K

Congratulations. The adventure starts now
Congratulations!!! How happy you must be feeling right now! Fantastic story and just shows that it really does work. Well done for sticking with it and getting through 9 weeks to running 6k in 30 mins - just WOW!! Go get your graduate badge
Thank you for posting this, I too have two very demanding children, my husband works away, and the pounds (stones) have crept on, C25k seems a long way off and very daunting...thanks for giving me hope!
Congratulations!! I also have two little ones, needed to lose some weight and generally become more active, and this programme has been amazing. Three weeks after graduating and I'm still enjoying it, and have dropped a full dress size. You should be really proud of yourself! Happy running
Amazing, that's such a great achievement and a fantastic time too, you must be very proud! Hope you enjoy your celebratory bubbly x
Hi,
1,000 congratulations and so very well done!
you're just the inspiration I need and will inspire others to. thanks so much for posting. I'm heading out for my first run in nearly 30 years today and to say I'm filled with trepidation is about accurate. Joanne x
GOOD LUCK to you too! Just start every run slow and steady so you don't wear yourself out, stick to the programme, don't look ahead at next weeks runs, and scare yourself, until you get there, believe in yourself and you will be fine. A whole lot of this is self belief - you CAN do it!
WELL DONE yrunning 1! Lovely blog and I hope all the apprehensive newbies get to read it for encouragement! CONGRATULATIONS!
Yrunning that is fantastic! I have one more run to go before graduating but am covering around 4k not 6! (Off road - it's very muddy, and I am 57) You are fast and fit!!!
Congratulations, and enjoy the bubbly - you are really very speedy! Great blog.
Thank you everyone for your lovely comments & feedback!
