Been getting a bit of groin/hip pain for about a day after each run recently. I tend to do 3-4 10k runs per week but have cut it down to 6-7k because of this. I went to my local running shop with my old shoes which don't look that worn. They did a gait analysis again then told me that I bought these shoes about a year ago. We'll, that works out to about 460 miles according to map my run! Apparently that is too far and they are worn out.
Well, I've just done my third run this week - 10.5k, and have no pain. In fact, I felt like I could have gone twice as far, had I not have had to go to work!
Just shows how much the right shoes matter.
