Since completing Cto5k, (I now repeat it every year when the clocks go back, it helps me through that difficult season), I discovered the NRC app. I didn’t think I would like it but surprisingly I do. I used the 10k Training Plan to prepare for a 10k race back in May. I achieved it but wanted to do the distance again but better. Not necessarily faster but putting into practice all the things I’d learned through experience. (Mostly the things I got wrong on the day that I could change). However, I seem to be having some glitches. Wondering if anyone else has had the same. I have tried Running for More: Joy and Coach Bennett didn’t show up. It was a run I really needed at the time, so I tried it again. Same result. Yesterday I was set to do Breaking through Barriers and again silence. I have tried deleting the runs. It won’t let me. Any advice would be appreciated or if anyone has downloaded these runs when they worked and they could send them to me I would be grateful. Bit of a technophobe myself so don’t even know if that’s possible but I thought I would ask anyway. Thanks in advance.

NRC Training Plan Tech Issues
🍏 well done on your determination to find a way to keep running through the difficult season. Unfortunately you have to access the NRC runs yourself. Have you tried downloading them on to your phone before you leave the house? Sometimes deleting an app and reloading it can be helpful. Do let us know!
PS The other thing to check is that you have clicked on “ Guided Runs” to access a coach.
Thanks Annieapple. I always do Guided Runs and download before I leave home because of data issues. Can’t wait till my current contract runs out and I can get unlimited data. Because of the data issues, distance runs often have me running much further than they say because if my data is low the run seems to lag. Really don’t understand IT. 🤣 But timed runs aren’t affected. I’m reluctant to delete the app at this stage in my training plan as I’m on week 6 of 8 (the business end!) and my 10k is in October. That would mean losing all my data so far. It’s something I’ll do after the 10k is done if it hasn’t resolved itself by then. Interested to know if anyone else has had the same problem or if it’s just me! 🤷♀️
what a nuisance-the most reliable way to fix NRC issues is to uninstall and reinstall it. If that’s not working, it’s hard to know what to suggest. Often when I’m having more trouble with it than usual, an update is released and that will fix things. It is glitchy unfortunately.
You’re best asking over on the Bridge to 10k forum where more people are using the app. Good luck!

Thanks MissUnderstanding. I’ll use that link and ask on Bridge to 10k. Interested to know if other people are having the same problem or if it’s just me. 🤷♀️ I didn’t really have too many problems when I used it last time other than those relating to data issues as mentioned in my reply to Annieapple. It will be good if they release an update. As I said, I tried to remove the run so I could re download but it wouldn’t let me. Uninstalling the app would mean I lose all my data from this plan wouldn’t it? And I’m at the business end now, W6 of 8 and the 10k is in October. I think I’ll just have to muddle through somehow.
You don’t have to worry about losing your runs. When you log back in again after reinstalling the app, they’ll reappear. They’re linked to your Nike login. That’s a big difference with Couch to 5k which does lose everything if you delete it,
Good luck!
Thanks MU. I wasn’t aware of that. Maybe uninstalling and reinstalling is the way to go. I’ll see if the rest of my runs go to plan as others in between were fine. It seems a bit random. Then of course I’ll have the joyous problem of remembering my log in information 🤦♀️ That’s usually good to waste more time than is necessary! 🤣🤣
The main glitches I've had with NRC are the GPS being way out (it told me I did 5k in 24 minutes the other week, something only possible in my very wildest dreams, it was 3k according to my watch) or doing an interval run and the guided run cuts out mid interval. I only noticed when I realised that the interval really did seem like it was going on forever.
Thankfully these happen very rarely (though I still have the 24 minute 5k on my list of runs along with all the PBs that would go with it if it was real 😂😂😂)
It’s quirky isn’t it, Yesletsgo. Today's Recovery Run (30 Minute Thank Yous) worked perfectly. To be truthful I don’t look at NRC for the distance (I use Strava in tandem with NRC) except for distance based runs when I invariably end up having to run considerably further to convince CB that I’ve run the course but I think that’s my data issues. I should be able to get a better data package when my contract expires at the end of the year.
