Repeating week 3

I am repeating week 3 this week because I was in Poland on business last week and didnt manage to train at all. I did my run on a treadmill in the gym today for the first time. I was walking at 6km/hr and jogging at 8.5km/hr. Does this pace sound ok or do I need to pick the speed up a bit. Thanks for all the great inspiration provided by your posts.

That sounds impressive and fast to me - I walk at 6.5 and jog at 7 or 7.5 - which may of course be considered too slow. I read somewhere (and related to the C25K) that if you could go any slower jogging you were going too fast and I may have possibly taken that to heart. Would be interested in others´ thoughts. I have also lost count of the number of times I have repeated weeks 3 & 4 - generally work or travel getting in the way. I am now on week 5 and will get to the end eventually.

I do my C25K on the treadmill I walk at 5 and run at 7.5 however my training partner runs at 8.5 he finds because his legs are longer he ends up kicking the front of the treadmill if he goes slower

Don't worry about the pace, speed will come in time. Just think about completing the distance. The definition of running and jogging are the same..... Your legs move faster than when walking. Keep going and above all enjoy!!

Don't worry about the pace, or if you have to repeat weeks. It took me 50 runs to graduate rather than 27 but I was okay with that. Some of it was due to being away and not running for a couple of weeks, some was due to illness and others were just because I couldn't complete the runs! Keep going - you'll get there :)

I suspect it will take me a similar amount. Thanks

I walk at 5 and jog at 7 - but I'm only 5ft tall, have teeny legs and am obese :( Am gonna keep on trucking though - hopefully pace will keep picking up (week 1 I walked at 4 and jogged at 5!). Good luck!
