Has anybody repeated week 3 before?? I am on run 2 of week 3 at the moment and I dont quite feel like I can move on to week 4 - my breathing isnt very good with week 3 so I may have to improve on that! I will see how friday nights run is, possibly try out week 4 on monday but if I cannot do it I will revert back to week 3.

repeating week 3
Hi sarahb_20. I had to do a similar thing after I had a fall on W4R3. I went back to W3R1. I managed to scrape both knees and both elbows and just felt so shaken up it felt the right thing to do.There's no shame to repeating any runs, particularly if you don't feel ready to move up a level. It's the sensible thing to do and will avoid injury caused by over doing it above your current fitness level. I know we all rabbit on about how great the programme is, which is true, but we also have a responsibility to ourselves to stay safe and not over exert until our bodies have caught up with what we are doing! Hope your next run feels good but if you do need to postpone moving up a level WELL DONE YOU for making a sensible decision! Don't worry - it will all fall into place for you very soon. Keep trusting the programme but listen to your body too!
Good luck for your future runs!
It took me 50 runs to graduate rather than the standard 27, because I kept repeating runs or indeed entire weeks until I felt confident I could move on to the next level. I don't do failure very well, so I was better off repeating them
Beek says it so well above - there is no shame in repeating any runs. You'll get there - there's no particular hurry. Keep up the good work, and keep posting to let us know how you get on.
Hi guys, thank you for your support!! I will see how I get on tomorrow night and keep you posted.
Beek says it so well. I am repeating wk 4&5. I fought hard with that decision but have decided it was the most positive thing to do. We are all different. But we are still doing something worthwhile. Even if we repeat. Good luck with your future runs but most important keep faith in yourself. Rfcx
I ha a complete block about this stage, could not get past 2 1/2 minutes. Eventually, what changed it for me, was going out with someone else, and also running a different route. I thought i ran slowly, but running with someone else, I had to really slow down, and that made it easier to carry on. Also, my usual route had a lot of corners, and it seemed that my head would say, just get to the corner, then you can stop, so i switched to a long straight route. By the way, yesterday, i ran 30 minutes straight, so you will get there, regardless of how long it may take to get past any of the stages. Just do it at your own pace, remember it's not a race, you're not in competition with anyone (else), it's all about you
