Week 8 done - feeling great!

I am in limbo a bit at the moment as I am staying with a friend till I fly out of Egypt on Thursday. I was wondering if I could fit another run in to complete Week 8, today I decided to pay the walk-in fee at the local gym and I did great! Last time I was at the gym I was running between 5.0 k/hr and 5.4 k/hr (at best). Today I managed 5.4 k/hr for the first half and then cranked it up to 5.6 k/hr for the second half, even up to 5.9 k/hr for the last couple of minutes! I know these times aren't at all great but they are for me! I know I shouldn't focus on speeds but it is good to know that I AM MAKING PROGRESS. And I just felt so comfortable today. I have realised it is actually harder to run around the lounge because I have to slow down around corners and that requires effort! Can't wait for my next run. Will try to do the walk-in thing again this week on Wednesday before I leave. Can't stop smiling today! :D I have been so ill and unfit in recent months, it is such a big achievement and a dream I had long ago of being able to run is now coming true.

Who said they aren't great? Are you faster today then you were yesterday? Yep? Then great!

Treadmill sounds much easier than your lounge now you are doing such great long distances! Keep on smiling 😀

You sound like you really enjoyed your run. You have achieved so much and really had to dig deep to keep going with the restrictions you have had. I am sure you will continue to gain speed not going round in small circles! Just keeping going is good enough though so everyone says and you are really near graduation now. Well done. You will soon have that graduation badge.☺
