Hello there,

I would postpone the run until you are fully recovered. You're not doing any good to your body if you add the stress and challenge of running to an already weakened body.

I experienced the same two weeks ago. I got ill on Wednesday, tried to run on Thursday (I could go but it was very slow for me and I didn't feel good), felt even worse on Friday, had a lot of tea and sleep on Friday and Saturday, felt a lot better on Sunday and went for a run (also on Sunday) which was pretty good again.

Take a few days rest and give your body the chance to recover. If you challenge it too much now it's more likely to be out of the game for longer than just a few days.

Get well soon :)

I also had a cold which is only properly gone this morning. If you are coughing a lot I definitely wouldn't run as the cooler air and mouth breathing will only make it worse. If you're on week 8 you won't undo your fitness by not running for several days. Why not go for a walk instead if you want to be out and the weather is nice? Drink plenty and take paracetamol if you're feeling feverish. Good luck, you'll soon be back out there!
