Week 3 Run 2 done....

Good afternoon my fellow runners....

Well after a busy night at work and afew hours sleep once I got home this morning, I thought I'd get up and get my self down to my usual playing field for my run. Tired or not I was determined to fit my run in today because I felt bad last weekend when I couldn't run for 3 days.

Run went fine. No problems. The last 3 minutes my shins started to feel tight but then again I have just finished a night shift where I run up and down the stairs all night and constantly on the go.

Once I finished though and did my warm down walk and stretches my legs are fine. Will have a nice soak in the bath when I get home.

That's about it for today. Will walk alittle now but not far as I usually do as I'm feeling tired.

Have a great weekend all and happy running.x

Well done Donna running after a shift, that's hard. Next run makes you a third of the way through....

Well done, a well earned soak in the bath is a great reward!

Very well done you... working hard and getting those runs in too!

Make sure you are warming up well.. some folk do dynamic stretching before running, but always a thorough stretch afterwards.. Try to land lightly too... kissing the ground with your feet.. that is what I call it.. and it works :)

Well done Donna for not letting those ‘I’m too tired’ gremlins get you...with that attitude you’ll sail through this 😉

Well done for getting your arse out there after what sounds a busy busy night though I do find in a strange way it helps me relax

Relax how?

it clears the crap from my mind as on occasions all I can think about is taking my next step/breath and not worrying about what might be happening elsewhere in my life

Top end, no compromise pure will, very well done, Donna. I will always respect such determination!

Keep us posted :)

Thank you all. I do enjoy my little runs/jogs/staggers. Lol

And as Rolysmate said no matter what is going on in life, while I'm running my mind is nice and clear. No stresses, just concentrating on what I'm doing.

Wish I had found out about this programme sooner.
