I just did R1- Week 1 and I have to say I found it hard, but thrilled to have done it! I have never run in my life and do not take regular exercise (to my shame). I have type 2 diabetes which I have really not got under control. Hoping this new day brings a change
I just did it: I just did R1- Week 1 and I have... - Couch to 5K
I just did it
Well done Sarah. In just 9 short weeks, you'll be running for half an hour non stop. Really, you will. And you'll feel super!
Well done on starting! I know I procrastinated for ages after downloading the podcasts before I actually started, always finding excuses to put it off, and now I (genuinely) always look forward to my next run!
Hurray for you. You've done the hardest thing by getting out there. Your type 2 diabetes can be beaten...like mine. New thinking says it can now whereas not so long ago "once a diabetic always a diabetic". Over the last year I've exercised hard and dieted; I'm now a normal BMI and no longer diabetic. My GP says I'm an example for the Practice and wants me to put a C25K poster in the waiting room!
Go for it! i'll look forward to reading your blogs.
I did my first run of Wk1 today as well so high 5!!! I have a nasty habit of doing too much, injuring myself and then having to stop but I didn't today, I stuck to what it said and feel great - mind a bit of a way to go yet! Planning to do run2 on Tuesday and looking forward to it
Fantastic you got out there and started amazing. I have just finished the last run of week 1 and aside from sore thigh muscles feel amazing and can't wait till the next one. I am slightly nervous at starting week two but will be out again on Tuesday. Keep it up
Well done Keep at it, some weeks will be hard and, depending on your age, weight etc it may take you more than 9 weeks. It really is worth the effort in the end.
Well done. I did my first yesterday and going to do my second tomorrow morning. Keep it up!
Thank you all for lovely messages of support!
