W7/R3 Good Run today and happy to have W7 behind me

Despite a very late night and quite a lot to drink at my family reunion we managed the run OK. I did need more water during the run but no need to stop for anything which felt good. I blocked out all negative thoughts by doing what I did in the earlier weeks with my breathing. Deep calm breathing as I count to 4 (in my head lol) don't know whether this matches my foot fall but I don't really care the counting just helps me block everything else out. Does anyone else find that the first 5 minutes and the last minute seems much longer in W7? On to week 8 next week and hopefully can pull out an extra 3 minutes.

Hey fellow week 7 finisher!! Yes first 5 seem to have to settle into a pattern, once in the pattern it's ok. I haven't taken water with me yet, I really must as my poor mouth is like nothing on earth when I'm finished!! I'm nearly ready to book my first parkrun... What about you?

Well done cloud chaser for getting this far. The water does help to revive me but I haven't needed it during the run until this week. I must look into whether there is a park run in my locality for something to aim for post graduation. Good luck with the rest of the programme

I have one very close, I'm desperate to go but don't want to overdo it and put myself off! I'm nearly there, but I'm getting thoughts above my station, last week I was thinking...humm maybe I could do a marathon :0)

I too found week seven the hardest to date, especially as the last five minutes of the runs are uphill. I am going to alter my route for week eight to avoid this as I really would have found an extra three minutes impossible, although run three was much better than the first two. Come on guys we are nearly there!

Yes not long to go now. We've done 4 x 25 min runs which has helped us build our stamina and become stronger Avoid those hills and you'll be fine. Good luck
