A good run today & a very happy me :)

Having had a cold this week (that's what all the short of breath thing was earlier this week) I woke up this morning intending to go for a run. My attempt at running up a hill earlier this week did make me doubt whether I should run & I had all the excuses running through my head, "take another rest day", "you have a cold", the traffic is starting to get heavy" but I ignored all them & went out. What a run it was too - I decided to run with Day 3 of week 9 of C25K but the program paused itself & as I couldn't be bothered to stop & sort it out, I ran without it and just had my running songs on & whoo hoo - 25 mins passed before I knew it. I varied my route today, no, not the hilly route, but a different route which has inclines - I thought I'd consolidate running steeper inclines before I tackle the hill again. Anyhoo - I ran 4.426km which is the furthest that I have run & I ran a mile in 12mins 19 secs - my PB so am very pleased. Can't wait for Saturday to go out again - yep, running bug has bitten & I am addicted :D :D

That's great! I love the way these unintended breaks can often consolidate things while we're resting.

yes it does even if we think it's not. It gives our bodies chance to rest and recharge.

Aha! Bet you're so glad you turned out after all 😀 If you find, after having got all dressed and ready, that you really don't feel well, you can always pack up and go home. Best to give it a good go 🙂🏃‍♀️👍

That's exactly what I thought misswobble - I set out with a goal of running 1 mile but felt so good after 10 mins I carried on :)

Well, once you are out there 😀 I set off the other week with 7k on my asics plan. I ran 27k! 🙄😀💪🏃‍♀️ I got carried away

easy to do once you're in the zone - shame to call it a day when you're on form :D

Oh how I long for the day I can accidentally run an extra 2k, never mind 20 of them! ;)

But a very positive run, Dhiny - well done :)
