I haven't been out in over a week. Im running out of excuses. The weathers cooled down. And now I can get back on here on my mobile.. Lol don't know where all my enthusiasm for running has gone. Im feeling really bad for not being out and very nervous about my 5k Edinburgh this weekend. Bought in loads of healthy superfoods to make sure my body can cope this weekend, haven't been eating properly as im so busy at the moment barely had time to eat... Im in the middle of changing jobs and they are overlapping so im trying to do 2 different jobs at the same time. Something's got to give hopefully it won't be my legs this weekend. Im not going to get the chance to go out running before the race. So does anyone one have any words of wisdom to help get me through it.

I think the best plan is to simply relax and enjoy it. You're a graduate so can do the distance - and I'm sure you won't have lost nearly as much ability as you think. So what if you're a little bit slower this weekend? Edinburgh is a brilliant place to run. You'll be just fine - best of luck.

Would it make you feel better to know I haven't been out in over 2 weeks and before that, 20 days?! Don't beat yourself up about it, sometimes life gets in the way of our best intentions. I'm still on holiday and I hope that when I get back to normal routine, I'll get back into my running groove, I can't wait!

Good luck with the new job! C :)

Hi Bikergirl, don't worry you won't have lost your fitness in a week its amazing how well our bodies cope with a rest now and again, it would be different if you had been struck down with a severe illness. Go out there, relax into your comfortable running stride and enjoy.
