thats week 1 in the bag. Run 3 was harder than run 2 probably due to going to the pub Thursday night. Very dissapointed with change to this site as I was feeling the love from others now I dont know if I can be arsed to join in which I think is a big setback. Bugger.

We are still here! Don't be downhearted just because they bolloxed the website up a bit. (ok a lot) :)

I always had a two day break before starting the next week, it seemed to be a bit of reward and you feel less achey as you attack a new podcast.

Keep plodding along and in a mere 8 weeks time you will be completely amazed how you can run for an entire 30 mins without feeling uncomfortable.

Every week is tough, week 5 is awesome, week Six is difficult for weird reasons. After that you actually 'enjoy' the running.

I can honestly say that C25k is the best thing I ever did for my health, apart from stopping smoking, that is. :)

So chin up Tedium and welcome to the clan!

Kev.

I agree with Jellyhawk Kev, the two day break worked for me and I set Monday, Wednesday and Friday as run days. I started C25K at least twice before and bottled out around W2 but this time I completed the programme as planned. Some of the weeks ahead will look impossible to you now, but stay with it - you can do this. Me, I hadn't run anywhere since I finished playing Rugby about 30 years ago and I ran 5km, 37min to finish Week9. At week 1 I too was struggling with the 1 minute runs, so stick with us.

Cheers,

Kev

Well done on completing Week 1 - I really think getting started is the hardest part and you've done it ! I'm only a week ahead of you,I've just completed Week 2.Like Shed 79,I run on Mon,Wed and Fri ,the weekend break seems to be working for me-though I felt maybe I didn't really need two 'days off' ,but I'm sure I will in the weeks to come! I've decided not to look ahead for what's lined up in the coming weeks, other than what I've read in some blogs, just take the podcasts as they come...don't want to frighten myself off the whole idea, though obviously that wouldn't work for everyone .

Good luck , stick with it ...there's lots of support on this site.

I'm sure the gremlins will be sorted soon and we'll get used to the changes and the new look :)
