My daughter (who is a club runner) always goes on about me not running very fast. However, I have just finished week 7 run 2 and when I checked my distance on Map My Run I found out that I had run just over 5k in 25 minutes.
Considering that I only started running in February and I have had a couple of injuries, I'm really proud of myself!!!

You SHOULD be proud, that sounds very fast to me! I've just started week 8 and still only getting to about 3.6k - I am definitely a plodder. You, however, sound like Road Runner to me
Thanks, but then I think about my daughter, who is an U13 but did a 3k cross country this year in 9 mins 6 seconds (she didn't win, the girl that won did it in 8 and a half minutes) and think omg, one day maybe!!!! Lol
