Went for my Magic 10 week 4 30 minute run this morning. I wanted to incorporate my Vitality World Cup Run before time was up. It felt quite mild so I had my porridge and banana, waited as it turned out, a couple of hours and off I went. I had to drive back as I'd forgotten my ear phones and I was aiming to finish listening to my podcast. By the time I actually set off it was raining and very windy. Now I understand how Michael O'Leary shaves 10-15 minutes off his flight times. Those tail winds work a treat! Not so great however when your'e travelling the other way. Finished my run feeling pretty good. I'm sure eating before I go has helped me. I don't feel drained either during or after the run and dare I say my breathing no longer feels 'ragged'? I do think it's a fine balance of not eating too much but that, like everything will take time .
Also pleased to report that both my runs have registered to The Running World Cup with no bother so feeling pretty....see above

Are you doing the time version of the magic plan? I’m thinking about it after I’ve done 9 consolidation runs. But maybe I ought to get to 5k first, lol!
Yes, the time version for me. Mainly because I found the distances quite intimidating to look at especially when I had only just hit my 5k target. I didn't want to set myself up for failure. I'm really enjoying having another challenge 😀
I'm doing the time version, It takes me just over 40 minutes to get to 5k and I do just under 6k in the 50 minutes that I'm running now. 2 lessons learned. 1. It really tires me out for the entire day so might need to eat first (I currently run very early and don't eat before running) or maybe switch my long run to the evening. 2. My 30 minute run is getting much easier
