Has anyone used mapmyrun after Endomondo?

Endomondo has been messing me about. It either won't recognise the GPS point or asks me to sign in and then doesn't accept me. So I've downloaded mapmyrun. It does seem to have a lot of adverts. I'm going to try it with a simple walk later but would be glad of any advice or thoughts please.

I started with RunKeeper and that too kept having GPS problems, so tried Endomondo - that seemed even worse so I have now switched to MapMyRun, although not perfect with GPS pick up seems to be better and more reliable than the others.

Starting to think it is my phone though that has the issues and not the apps!

It was the opposite for me. I had problems with mapmyrun and so switched to Endomondo and have had no problems. I think it's just trial and error really, and finding which one works best for you. There are plenty out there if you still have problems.

Today I read on Mapmyrun that trees and buildings affect GPS signals. My run is mostly through a wooded area so I get different readings everytime I do the run :-(

Like Rollertoaster, I dumped Mapmyrun and have just started endomondo. I asked which app people used a while ago and got some very helpful suggestions - here's the link

I use Strava & have never had any problems with it so have not tried any of the other apps... Keen to try others out though so good to read about others experiences.
