NAC?

My doctor says it is o.k. to take Vitamin C along with the COPD medication that he has prescribed for me; such as a nebulizer (albuterol along with some other med, prednisone (temporary for 10 days) and Trelegy (which is supposed to work good; but haven't found too much difference so far), I am taking all these and now if I want to take some of the NAC (from vitamin store) would I have to ask the doctor if it is o.k. to take? I don't know. I think it would be o.k. to try (people say it works great; so I would like to try it). Any help with this question, sure would be appreciated.

Just be careful of ANY drugs you take that contain codeine as this drug is dangerous if mixed with others

Panadeine is what chemist gave me, when I went to the doctors, he told me to throw them out immediately, they contain codeine.

My doctor told me to take NAC when mucinex wasn't working, haven't had any problems with it interfering with my other drugs. Just make sure you use a good name product

Saw my lung Doc yesterday for usual check. I am Gold 4. I researched NAC and found several studies of NAC for COPD. I began 1200 mg/day of NAC and my Doc said good for me. It thins the mucus and has stopped almost all my coughing. I also take powdered Chaga mushroom at 1/2 teaspoon per day. It opens the airways. I also take 20 drops of CBD oil. I take Trelegy for a year now and love it. My .COPD has improved.

Hi new here - newly diagnosed as severe COPD and just trying to learn the ropes :) How do you take the Chaga powder? My neighbour has a business that they process and market Chaga and i have some of her "pucks" which i can add to my coffee

Be very careful taking the Chaga. It is a blood thinner and could interact with other meds. I am on Xarelto blood thinner. My Doc told me to stop the Chaga.
