World COPD Baton Pass November 2025 - a global event

We all know that with any Respiratory condition we are better off keeping active! I am delighted to have been invited to be a part of the global patient panel for this year’s event. The main aim is to encourage and motivate as many people as possible, especially those of us with COPD to keep moving and active. Whoop. Watch this space UK and pass the message on.

Pauline that’s great you’re involved on the panel, And yes being active keeps us alive!! It’s just so much effort to keep active and be breathless - no wonder I burn lots of calories lol

Hello,

Thank you so much for your support. The event grows year on year and we want to encourage all respiratory patients to keep moving and active.

Oh, our breathlessness certainly does burn the calories doesn’t it !

Go well,

Pauline

Hi Pauline, I clicked on the link for more info but it gives a 2024 date. Just wondered if it's the same date this year? Thank you!

Yes, Thank you... I thought I had pointed out the date was for last year ? The site will be updated before too long and I will post up in due course. There is only one person ( in Aus ) sorting all this at the moment.

World COPD Day for this year is Wed. 19 November so assume the World COPD Baton Pass will be that day 24hrs.

You can join the Step Challenge now.. 250-500-2000- + it doesn't matter. The important thing is too keep moving. The app is called StepUp and when you have signed in join COPD Baton Pass. Some days after chores, health etc I cant do anything and some days I can achieve 3000 ! thestepupapp.com/.

Let me know if you need more information.

Go well

Pauline
