Good news and bad news?

Hello, I have posted before. I am stage 4 cll, stage 3 severe copd with emphysema, stage 3 non alcoholic steto hepatitis, and other serious medical problems. I have to have an egd and colonoscopy coming up and it's been cleared already but I contracted COVID from my husband (bless his heart, he's a heart patient). We did all the precautions told to us. I was surprised. I also had pneumonia with it. I was very blessed I didn't have to go to the er. I stayed home, they gave me antibiotics and steroids for the pneumonia, and I was told to take Vitamin c, D and Zinc. Right before this happened with covid, I was told to stop my Imbruvica due to some side effects, they wanted to eliminate it as being the culprit. I just had my 3 month follow up and my wbc and lymphocytes are normal. My hemoglobin and other blood work indicate I am anemic again. I took the antibody test for Covid and I am immune. Although they suggest I get the vaccine, I am wanting to get the flu shot as well. TBH it felt like I had pneumonia, flu and strep all at once. Anyway, I just wanted to post something positive for a change. I hope y'all are well. PS I don't have to take the Imbruvica for now, just maybe an infusion for iron coming up though. I'll take any good news. I still have lingering effects of Covid. I wonder if that affected my labs any? I'm thankful and blessed to be able to type this to you. I am one of the blessed ones that survived it.

Thanks for sharing your news, Lancerlady. Wonderful that you (and your husband) have survived Covid, and your bloods are OK in spite of stopping Ibrutinib.

I'm sorry you've got some lingering post-Covid effects, but I guess it's not surprising after all you've been through, and with other underlying health conditions as well.

Wishing you all the best for the investigations you'll still facing, and for a complete recovery from Covid symptoms.
