I travelled to Croatia in January which was 9 months post transplant. Cheapest i found was a company called Cloud Cover that came through the money supermarket search. Cost me £55 for the week. You'll probably find Tunisia a bit more expensive as the European Health Insurance Card can't be used to offset some of the insurance companies costs.

after transplant

I taveled to the south of France and Vietnam around £80 for a single trip

I thought you had to be 1 year clear of Transplant before you could travel out side the EU

The Leeds Hospital Support Group have a great page about travel, check out: stjamesltsg.org/travel%20in... - I travelled to New York just over 6 months after transplant- it depends on your progress and your doctors advice. I was quoted £1300 by the usual compare sites- specialist insurers off that site - £305 and I have diabetes, foot ulcer issues and an amputation, so should be much better for most. Hope this helps C.

We used medical travel compared for the holiday we should have been taking at easter, this was with my son having a liver disease but no transplant. In January he was suddenly diagnosed with a Hepatocallular carcinoma and placed on the list for transplant so we had to cancel and they paid out within a few weeks with no hassle at all. I will definitely try them again when my son is allowed to travel.
