Dear Whitelock,

I can't tell you 'How Much', your Insurance, will cost YOU....However, I have asked this question to my Insurance Broker. Trevor, my Broker, told me that Insurance Companies will, generally speaking, send an 'Assessment Form'. This Form will, ask for, your COMPLETE History...Based, on this, the Company(ies) will give you a quote. I had a Kidney Transplant, in July 2013, so I'm, not Quite, in the same position as you are.

Do you have a 'Friendly' Brokerage, near you? If so I would 'Simply' ask for Meating, to discuss, these matters. I think, in the first instance anyway, I would Avoid going 'On Line', you will ONLY be asked for 'More Information' anyway.

Will you let us All know, how you get on, please.

I wish you Good Luck.

Not going to help. I have free Travel Insurance under a Company Benefits scheme but this also covers death, injury etc up to 65. Monthly it's £30. Now obviously one has to declare issues over and above standard. Im Compensated. It was a matter of ringing in for a medical screening. The following day Chief Medical Officer rang me at a time of my choosing. 15 min phone interview. Additional premium £20 annually.

Only one verbal stipulation, no alcohol, as it's not written on the endorsement.

Hi Huw

I did it that way too!

But my insurance cost £1500 for worldwide but NOT including USA, Canada, Caribbean or Mexico. Not so much worldwide then! But I did have 17 conditions to declare......

Did our first holiday in 5 years this August - yippee 😁, thank you 👍

In my experience it varies wildly, most would not do it before 6 months after.

I went to Europe using euro tunnel all that they asked was if I had be told I was fit to travel and that was that.

A compare web site and a few calls will sort out the best deal, if you want I have a list of ones that were happy to take your cash at a reasonable cost

Have a good time!

David
