HiJust wondering if anyone can recommend an app to use that goes on distance and will tell me when I am half way. ( need to turn round at this point). Hope that makes sense. Looked at Nike but seems to be time based. Though maybe looking at wrong workouts.
Thanks

I use Runkeeper app, and it has full tracking functionality in the free version.
Whenever I need a half-way bell, I just set up two intervals. These can be time or distance based. But then the audio voice tells you all your stats at halfway point.
Nike Run Club distance-based guided runs will usually tell you when you’ve reached each km and when you’re halfway. You’d need to listen to the guidance commentary as far as I can tell though. That’s quite marmite. I love a bit of Coach Bennett but others find him too cheesy!
If you just click “go for a run” and “start’, it will announce when you hit each km with a few other stats. That won’t tell you when you’re halfway though. With practice, it’s not too tricky to work that out without a prompt though.
Strava is fab - I use the paid version but the free one works well. If you set it up with audio cues it'll tell you each km you hit and the speed of that km. It'll give you all sorts of graphs and stats as well!!
I use the Mapmyrun app for all my runs, you have a choice to set it for miles or kilometers, I have used kilometers since I started running in 2018, you can set it within the kilometer range to 0.1 of a kilometer, 250 metres, 1 kilometre, which is what I use, also 5K, 10K or even 25 kilometers, those long distances I would imagine are for marathon and ultra marathon runners.
