I can’t quite believe I’m asking this but does anyone have any advice for consolidation at 10k? Absolute craziness, I couldn’t run for 90 seconds in January 😂.
I’ve just got back from my week 9 run of the magic magic plan, 9.3k in 1hr 7, so next weekend will be my 10k and I’m not quite sure what do after.
Thanks for helping me get this far, enjoy your Saturday.

Fantastic, well done to you. I think that’s a really good question, and one others will be interested in too. My personal advice would be to continue to do the runs, or switch it around a bit, and do the 10k every 2 to 4 weeks depending on how tired you are afterwards.
The idea of running 10k every other week sounds a little more achievable than every week. I’m tired when I get back but it’s very much a happy tired, not a I need to curl up in a corner and sleep for days tired.
Love this. How great is it too look back at your progress too? You are making good time as well so congratulations. I'd try to do some slower paced easier running too. I run without music, maybe try this or with music or a podcast. Mix up the runs if you wish, you can add a bit of distance in small increments too. There are endless options really. I'd look at building up steadily and slowly to 7m, 8m etc in time (lower heart rate style) and every now and then run a 10k if you want. I don't really run that distance much, either 5m or above 7. Feel no pressure, enjoy it and find what suits you. Miles in the legs is what really helps. Happy running!
I agree with ju-ju- , run a 10k in amongst your other runs . I remember being really tired after a 10k but the more you run them the less tired you get.
Well done reaching nearly 10k, so exciting. I hit 10k just as the Scottish winter was doing its usual so was very happy to cut my running time way back as it was so cold. But since February I've been really mixing things up. I just see how I feel each day and run from there, usually 7 - 9 k then I throw in 10k. Apart from a crazy 6 week period from the end of march when I did 16 runs of 10k or more great temperature, couldn't do that just now. All year i e been looking for monthly totals - that way i can really mix up the length of my runs and they all count. Good luck and happy running 🤗
