Running for 60 minutes is cool, right?

So said Coach Bennett on his 60 minute guided run. And I'm delighted, nay delirious to announce I DID IT, I RAN FOR 60 MINUTES!!!πŸ˜πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ€Έβ€β™€οΈπŸ’₯. I wasn't wholly committed to doing it at the start. Firstly, I gave blood 2 days ago, my 53rd, so I knew I'd be down on pace and probably stamina too. Secondly, this is Juju week 7, which is a repeat of week 6 with 55 minutes running. So, I planned a route with a get out at 5k and set off on Coach B's easy run. It was cool with a hint of drizzle, perfect. It was a quiet Sunday morning with hardly anyone about, apart from a few dog walkers. Nice and steady, slower than usual but to be expected. My I'm up to 4k and now at my opt out point. Oh its going well, let's carry on. But what am I thinking... there's 2 hills to do this way. Anyway, perseverance won πŸ† . 60 minutes done, 7.3k run and wow, I'm still on cloud 9.

So what's next? Well there's family stuff with grandchildren to care for then off in the campervan for a nice long holiday in Spain. Yes I'm taking the running shoes, but won't be training, just enjoying new runs. 10k can wait.

Wow - that's awesome!

(It reminds me I would have been a good way through my plan to run for 60 minutes now ... except I am back to the drawing board with [DRUM ROLL] one and a half minutes!)

You look exactly as you should with an achievement like that! πŸ™Œ

Thanks I appreciate your support. But at the moment one and a half minutes is a big deal for you, and not so long ago you didn't think even that was possible. I look forward to hearing about your running recovery πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™€οΈ
