It's almost 2 years since I started my C25K journey and have just done my first 60 minute run. Not the fastest or prettiest but I did it! I managed 6.5k, was hoping for nearer 7km but that doesn't matter, something to aim for next time. Thanks to everyone on this forum for their support and advice. I don't post much but love reading what everyone is up to and it really helps. Have a good day everyone. Oh and where do I get my new badge from please. Thanks π

So pleased to read this! Well done ππππ
The distance you covered isnβt as important as the time spent running. In any case, 6.5km is exactly what I did in my 60 minute run a short while ago! My advice is not to aim for anything - that can come later. Just relax into those long runs as you increase the time spent running. If you enjoy those runs without pressure, you are more likely to do them and before you know it, youβll have covered 10km and beyond without effort, just because you happened to get there.
60 minutes running is a huge milestone and the gateway for longer runs. Iβm sure you feel a great sense of achievement and so you should!
Thanks Jools, this is the advice and support I mentioned on this forum and much appreciated. Yes it does feel good to have finally done it. I'm not sure what distance I will eventually reach but I'm sure I will enjoy getting there. I need to find a new longer route. Off to the garden centre now, perhaps a coffee and cake to celebrate! Thanks.
Well done you! Itβs so exciting to say you can run for an hour, brilliant π€©.
Excellent! It's a great feeling to do that first 1 hour run ππ
