Well I had my autumn booster a week ago Friday and didn’t think anything of it. I’m one of those people who had no side effects from the first 3 bar a headache for 24 hours with the first one. But this time I have felt not quite right all week. Don’t know if it’s coincidental but I’ve been lethargic, headachey, tired, and really not sleeping well due to a flare up of my AcidReflux which nothing seems to be shifting. Ive only done one Pilates session this week and slept through the early ones that I usually do.

I managed to drag myself out on the Sunday and had one of my fastest runs in ages but then went out on Tuesday and couldn’t run for more than 5 mins at a time, very heavy legged and struggled all the way and only managed just over 4K with lots of walk breaks

The last couple of days my asthma seems to have been worse and I have had to use my inhaler more often. So I have not felt like running at all.

Today I have finally managed to drag myself out again. It was a beautiful morning and I didn’t want to run tomorrow as there is the Barnstaple 10k and it goes along my usual route. I hate getting caught up in a lot of runners.

And once I got going it wasn’t so bad. I ran 10 minute intervals and did manage to run just over 5.5k. But it just did not feel smooth and easy like it has of late. I could have turned back and gone home so many times. I hope this clears up soon as Autumn is my favourite running season usually.

I usually cannot wait to run on a nice crisp morning and hate feeling I’m dragging myself out there ☹️

Good to hear from you Limberlou, sorry about the after effects of your latest Autumn booster a week ago, hopefully you will better very soon.

I am due to get my 5th Covid 19 booster jab AND flu jab next Friday afternoon, on Saturday morning I will go to parkrun to spactate, not run, I think running less than 24 hours after those two jabs isn't advisable.

yeah I wish they’d done mine in one go to get it over with. Got my flu jab on Oct 22nd. My grandson and his girlfriend come over from Oz on the 20th, for 3 weeks, so I hope THAT jab doesn’t knock me for six too. It doesn’t usually so 🤞

I am sure it won't. 😊

Sorry to hear you are suffering side effects from the booster limberlou. I guess the composition of each one is slightly different to take account of the various mutations.

Just take it easy for a few days and I’m sure you’ll be firing on all cylinders again.

You could have finished today’s run so many times, but you didn’t. 5.5km cracked, well done. ⭐️

o dear it does sound as though the booster might have affected you. A friend of mine felt awful for a week to ten days after her latest booster having had no I’ll effects from her first 3. At least you are managing to get out for little runs and a run is a run 🤞you start to feel better soon

I’ve been lucky with my other 3 jabs but this has been horrible. Just feel weak and wobbly and tired and tearful.

That booster can knock you for six, every one I’ve had so far has made me feel awful, I’m glad you’ve been able to get out and run though

Oh, that’s a shame limberlou - I guess it could be jab related, although it’s so hard to tell isn’t? Your body could have been fighting something off too. Hope you feel stronger again soon.🙂
