So, I managed two whole days of consecutive rest before my restless legs wanted to get back out there! (Which is an achievement in itself for me!).
Besides, the weather was nice and Tier 3 restrictions + unemployment gives me far too much time on my hands. I could sit indoors and overthink everything or I could lace up and get out! ๐ช ๐โโ๏ธ
A nice short interval session to kick the week off:
0.5K of running ๐โโ๏ธ followed by walking until my breathing settles to normal - repeat 8x.
I plan on keeping this week a bit zen ๐งโโ๏ธ but I never really know until the ๐ are on and Iโm out the door!
Right, time for a โ๏ธ and to make a spreadsheet for my HM training attempt ๐ฑ

๐คญ Iโm a person that needs a bit of structure! Even if I do end up doing what I like on a occasion. A spreadsheet will hold me to account just by its mere existence ๐

Crikey spreadsheets really, I'm having nightmares thinking back to primary school and th the the......... ๐ณ Abacus ๐ฌ
Now - I love spreadsheets. I have a spreadsheet where I log my stats for every run, walk and yoga. The spreadsheet picks up my running total for the month and itโs great to see that increasing!
Not sure Iโd want one for training, but I can understand why it would be good. Iโm working towards a HM, too - but a lot of mine is what I feel on the day of my long run. I run those longer distances really slowly so it makes more sense for you perhaps to have more structure, you are so speedy ๐Iโve done half a dozen 10Ks and a 10 miles, but still taking it steadily until the time is right, then wooosh! Iโll know when it feels right. Good luck!
Wow, wasnโt expecting so much negativity towards a spreadsheet ๐ In all fairness, I hate them too! But I canโt find a good HM app and I just canโt get to grips with the NRC app - far too many options for my liking! Iโm goal driven - I need to have a set distance otherwise Iโll just do all intervals ๐
Wow! Very speedy! Youโre very organised! I just go out and run depending on how much time Iโve got and how much energy I have left ๐. If that motivates you just go for it. Itโs good to have a plan.
Just catching up with your news ๐ congrats on smashing over the 10k finish line with a 12k super speedy run ๐๐ you're well on your way to the HM and this interval session is the stuff my dreams are made of - btw am I right in thinking that your stats exclude the periods of walking? And if so - how? ๐
Thanks Littleoyellow ๐๐ป Yes, stats exclude the periods of walking. I just press Stop on Strava when walking and then Resume when Iโm off again ๐จ But I do leave the NRC app running continuously to include the whole activity inc. walking ๐
My tiny brain canโt get to grips with how fast you ran let alone spreadsheets
You would get on well with my daughter though, she has the most amazing financial spread sheet, she knows down to the last penny how much she spends on everything, food shop, car, dog, cat lol it amazes me, I get paid, spend a bit save a bit and thatโs it
