First ‘60 mins’ since December

After the last few days of strong winds and rain, it’s been 4 days since my last run. Perfect weather today, about 10 /11 degrees. I really prefer this weather to hot sunshine! My legs felt good after reaching 5k in 37mins so I plodded along thinking I’ll do another few if I can, maybe up to 7, then surprised myself as I’d reached an hour and 8km☺️. Sharing another lovely photo of the gorse bushes, very lucky to have this scenery on doorstep. Happy running all.

8k! Woohoo! Amazing!

Must be the all the fun you’re having running through that gorgeous scenery in the perfect weather!

I did a tiny 2.6k as part of my take 2 of C25k (after covid recovery and IC) and felt similar to you! Perfect sunny but cool weather! It’s a great feeling to have done a run and the day is still young! (And so are we!)

Hi CBDB, thanks for reply. Well done on your recovery progress, I’ve managed to escape covid so far, although family members have been through it. Weather and surroundings are definitely a plus aren’t they. Happy running to you.

What a gorgeous place to run. It sounds like magic running weather and talking advantage of it was a great plan. You must have had a buzz at the end of that run!

Hi MU, I am very lucky to live near beach, always come hone with a smile, it’s got me through lockdown this running malarkey🤣.

I live rurally so lockdown was brilliant for discovering all sorts of lovely local bridleways and footpaths. I wish I’d started running earlier! The c25k programme was a New Year’s resolution and now I’m totally hooked. There’s something really special about a seaside view.

Thanks Dexy5, was pleased to manage the 60 mins again, working towards the 10k albeit slowly.

That’s certainly better than my last effort. Coach UpTheStanley says I must do better. 🤣🤣. I am sure I will once I’m in the 10k race in May.
