And going for a run is a large part of it…..

Sent Willow a text on Sunday after lunch was finished at work and I was cleaning our huge kitchen at work to say could we go for a run after work, that was about 1.30pm. arrived home at 4pm having been there since 2pm Saturday and realised running wasn’t happening, put food in the oven and sat chatting watching tv and trying hard not to fall asleep, ate and went out like a light, so tired slept for a couple of hours and then was awake half the night.

Back to work Monday! After a busy day went shopping, stood in shop car park admiring the setting sun.

Today is my day off! Good nights sleep, lazy wake up with tea in bed chat put washing on, chat some more. Willow has an ear infection and I know from experience it’s painful to run with a sore ear, so just me.

Dress, hey the sun is shining, tiny tee with light running jacket over the top, leggings and my comfy Brooks.

Plan in place, well a very loose plan actually, I might run for 10 minutes, I might go a bit further, I might head north with a view of the downs, I might head south and may even get as far as the sea. I may run half an hour, or even 5k or I may even get out there and run for an hour or more.

De, totally organised with a plan in place!!! not at all, I haven’t a clue what I’m going to do 🤣🤣🤣

Off I go, Elton John and friends playlist on, ooo Zombies run… haven’t one one of those for months.

Walk to the end of the road and off i go.

I end up running 5k round some roads I haven’t run before, with a view of the Downs, looking into gardens I’ve never seen before, past the school where my children went and even some of my grandchildren went.

The sun shone, I had to wait at a couple of roads before clear enough to cross.

Runners 14 and 8 joined me on a scouting mission, very soon after the start we ran fast and evaded zombies,

46 minutes in and the siren sounds we are back safe inside the compound and the gates close, having evade zombies collected numerous items and a stash of guns,

4 more minutes and 5k reached, back at our close which is quite long so jog to the end and home again.

That was fun that was great, and that’s my life, work long hours, admire the sunset and run when I can.

Happy 1st Feb all

Glad you are inspired, today the sun is shining and I just wanted to get out, haven’t run much lately so didn’t want to plan a 5k in case I couldn’t manage one

Thank you, it was so good to get out, he’s got some spray which should sort his ear in a day or two

😂 loved your post but amazed you managed a decision at the end of the road....so many options, I'd have been dithering for ever!

I’m often amazed at my decision making skills, I didn’t have long though as was being chased by zombies so just had to let the feet decide

Good run for you Sola . I like your idea just running and don’t know where it takes jog. If I was getting chased.by zombies I Wouldn’t be hanging about. I remember as a child going to the cinema and watching zombies at a cemetery never again. Does the zombies ever catch you . ? You sound like you enjoyed your run today. 😊

Hi Doris8 thank you , no it the zombies get too close they snarl in your ear and i drop something to distract them 😊 first time they snarled I jumped a mile, but it was nothing to the run at the beginning of lockdown I was joined by another runner and she chatted away and then she coughed!!! That scared me loads, we were terrified if anyone coughed at work in the beginning

What a fantastic run Sola. It had everything and sounded like you were having such a great time. 💥

I hope Willow's ear gets better soon. Is spring almost upon us? I hope so after the sunshine today. The world seems such a better place 🌞

Spring can’t be far away now and we will get more glimpses of the amazing weather that tells us winter is fading once again. I saw my first snowdrops on todays run but those zombies weren’t far behind so I didn’t stop to take a photo, maybe next time

It’d been a while and I found it fun

I think it would give me a bit of fun too after feeling a bit meh 😑 about today’s run. Feeling better about it now though - at least I ran, even though it was meh 😑! I’ll take some zombies with me next time …… 😂

Best wishes to willow, ear infections are horrible. What a lovely run (well I say lovely, but zombies run gives me the heebyjeebies, so rather you than me!)

Thanks, they gave me the heebyjeebies the first few times but apart from running harder to evade them I like the chatter
