New bone conduction headphones

Haven’t been on here in ages but still out running I just can’t stop it’s now part of my routine and I am so grateful to C25k for getting me here.

I have done a 10k just wanted to get it done! Since then life has been busy back at the Office, looking after my Dad as he is not doing great plus my youngest sons wedding but still running 5k every other day to keep my mind sane 🤣

Well my hubby has treated me to new headphones that are bone conduction ones and they are game changers! I run in the mornings and it’s pitch dark as I start and he was worried I wouldn’t hear people/traffic coming up behind me, they are brilliant I am much more aware of traffic now and footsteps behind even those of other runners. In a world where women’s safety is unfortunately being discussed I would definitely recommend!

I've had some Aeropex for a year now. They're brilliant for running with awareness. However the microphone is a bit rubbish for phone calls if there's any wind or traffic noise.

I have received calls from family whilst out running. Sometimes they're important.

And I go out of my way to say Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening to everyone I pass.

Ooh! 😍 Thanks for the recommendation, I've been wondering about headphones, but I like to hear what's going on. So those would be perfect. Putting them on my santa list too!

Hi wavy-chick! Great to hear how you're doing. Well done on getting the 3 runs in a week that's really excellent! I've got the aeropex aftershocks and I really love them 😊. My original headphones amplified the sound of the wind so I'd end up turning the volume up and I'd get sore ears. These new ones are such a treat to use and I love it I can still hear other people and cars. What a lovely hubby to get you these! Did you run any more 10km distances? I'm still at 9km which I've done 3 times now but I'm only getting out twice a week at most these days! I'm planning 10k tomorrow so I'll maybe post that if I make it ...

Well helloooooooo!!No haven’t had the time to repeat the 10k things all got very busy fitting in the three runs does get tricky but I just love it so cram it in somewhere .

Good luck tomorrow with the 10 if you have done the 9 it’s just mind over matter as long as you are warmed up and hydrated, we know so much more since our c25k days we are almost professional 🤣🤣
