Hi all. Does anyone have any recommendations for Bone Conduction Headphones? I was thinking of rewarding myself with some for running the Brighton 10k last weekend. Also I understand you're not meant to wear normal headphones in these events (it's the first one i've done) and bone conduction headphones allow you to hear what's going on around you? AND ALSO my current headphones keep falling out of my ears, which today coincided with the wind trying to blow my hat off and my sunglasses falling on the ground in a moment that was... a bit annoying. So I'm thinking wireless / blu tooth might be the way to go.
I was very happy with my time in the 10k by the way. I'd been building up to it for months and was then ill with a nasty cold in the week beforehand, so I'd've been happy just to finish the course. But as it turned out, I managed to do it in one hour and 42 seconds! Which was a new personal best by about ten to 15 minutes!
Until now running has been quite a solitary thing for me. But the experience of running with crowds lining the streets and people high-fiving you as you pass them was totally amazing! Am hoping to do a few more this summer.
Cheers!

I have a pair of trekz titanium aftershokz. I bought them because I don’t feel safe if I can’t hear the world around me and can’t get comfortable anyway wearing in-ear buds. The sound quality is obviously not as good as normal headphones and you can get interference if they move around on you. But it’s fine for running. I bought the small size, which fit well. Battery sometimes doesn’t get past 90 minutes. I also wear a bandana to stop my hair / sweat getting everywhere. It’s perfectly possible to set the combination up so no one knows I am wearing them.
Another vote for Aftershokz Treks Titanium, I've been wearing them for a while and love them. The battery lasts a good few hours and they're great in the rain and can deal with sweat well.
I’ve got aftershokz, mine are wired (a bit cheaper than the Bluetooth ones) but I still use my MP3 players.....love them, they’re quite a revelation the first time you use them. (Some shops have a pair you can try out before you buy - my local independent running shop has them) Perfect for being aware of what’s going on around you.
Hi jimmers , I have bone conduction and I love them, mine are airprov, not as expensive as treks but they're good...when I replace them though, now I know I like them, I will prob go for aftershokz
Well done on your PB jimmers. 😀 I also have the Airprov ones - they're cheaper than the Aftershokz but I have found them fine. Currently just under £40 but I got them in a lightning sale for just over £30
