Good morning, we’re being a bit unmotivated lately so kept trying to run after work and it just didn’t happen, so say off today and we are off, I picked a NRC run because the chatting is interesting, Willow picked his favourite music. Go slow, it’s up hill a bit and breeze in our faces but slow and steady we go, it’s dull and warm, we’ve plumped for the run round the industrial estate because park is busy.
Up and down herbs, cross the road but keep running
A friend at work said she wanted to run so tomorrow we are starting c25k with her and if she enjoys it there’s another running buddy for when Willow doesn’t want to.
She wants someone to encourage her and we want someone to re enthuse us so it’s a win win all round thing.
Happy Bank Holiday Monday

Yes it will, she’s bringing her dog too, ive wished for a dog to run with, daughters collie is way too reactive to run with, if he saw a person or another dog he’d be off
I hope she sticks with it, she’s quite a bit younger and the long term aim is to go to the stables with her and run home together over the downs, she said she’s often walked it so only a few miles
Thanks Doris8, there’s a chance that by winter when Willow doesn’t want to go out i’ll have a great running buddy
Sounds like a good idea to do C25K with a friend! It is not bad to do the program again (wondering at yourself how far you come from). And having a running buddy can indeed help in going out more often.
Aww has his lil paw been shaven? My black furball had blood taken a few weeks ago and is still growing her fur back on her paw. I always find it 'sad', such beautiful fur demolished.
He has grown (obviously of course). I love black kitties. Got1 naked kitty of 15 years old and 1 black kitty of 11 or 12 years old (former owner did not know the exact age).
Yes, where they put the anaesthetic but it’s growing back a little bit already, he’s still a bit of a demon, we have a plum tree and he loves to bring plums in. They roll around the floor Your cats sound lovely 😊
That should be really encouraging to do c25k again. It should make you realise how far you have come. And then, in addition, you have an opportunity to encourage someone else. Nice!
We are looking forward to it, we’ve been a bit lazy through summer, it started with lots of extra hours at work and just carried on so looking forward to running with someone else who’s really enthusiastic and have planned our 3 runs this week so we keep each other at it 😀
Exactly! and she’s about 15 years younger so i’m sure will stretch us, she says she’s always wanted to run but can’t but she rides a horse so pretty fit, it’ll be great fun to go together, Willow and I have to both be enthusiastic because otherwise if one of us can’t be bothered we just don’t go, but this i think will make us go
Sounds like a win-win situation. Hope it goes well. And she'll find that she can get back from the stables so much quicker. I've found when I've been walking my running tracks with my dog it takes sooo much longer.
Fab fitness age! 🙌🙌 It’s better than mine! I run with a running buddy now which is nice. It definitely motivates because you want them to achieve. I did find it frustrating at first though as I had to put all of my own goals on hold for a while. I was ready to push onto further distances and, obviously, she wasn’t. I also missed running solo with a good set of tunes or a guided run from time to time. I’ve adapted now and I miss her when she doesn’t run.
My thinking is to get back into running more often and if it’s not enough for me I can go out fir a longer run another day or just run home and add a couple of kilometers to the end, we ran yesterday though so probably week 1. day 1 will be enough fir today, I have an ear infection and waiting fir doctor to phone back so an exciting day off fir me lol 😂
Being a year younger must be a great motivator! Well done on joining your colleague for her C25K - I’m sure you’ll all enjoy it, even the dog! Let us know how it all goes won’t you!
