Well today was a first. The plan was to repeat last weeks 8k but my body decided otherwise! Got to just past half way and legs just didn’t want to go. Felt like jelly 😕. Finished the 8k in a combo of walk and jog instead.

Not really sure why. I did have a disturbed night sleep due to the smoke alarm battery deciding to beep. I had taken less Hydrocortisone than last week as I felt so good when I got up. I wasn’t dehydrated I drink water etc for England. My husband suggested I needed some calories but I’d had a bowl of fruit and yogurt with seeds before hand. Maybe it was just one of those day.

Never mind I still enjoyed what I did and I will give it a go next week.

Enjoy the sunshine. It’s a bit breezy in Southend but warmer weather is on its way. 😊🏃🏻‍♀️☀️

Showing your experience there knitting runner; just the right way to view it ...sometimes a run is just pants and the worse thing you can do is to force it or waste time and effort trying to work out why. Forcing it often results in pulls and strains in my experience so well done for abandoning ship and waiting for the next run...as you say, warmer weather is on the way😊

Thanks. Although bit worried about the warmer weather to be honest. I get hot already! 🥵. But I will find a solution I’m sure.

Disappointing KR but you certainly made the right decision - you have to listen to your body. I'm sure next run will be better.

I’m sure it will. It’s with a friend so we chat all the way. Won’t be thinking about jelly legs. 🤞🏻

Well done for finishing the 8k even if it wasn’t how you envisaged it! I had a really hard run today and only managed 5k but hey ho the next one will hopefully be better 😊😊
