A wonderful lady baked our team a cake for our lunch at the vaccination centre today. It was one of the loveliest cakes I have ever eaten - the photo looks great but still doesn't do it justice. I have to admit that I had the honour of slicing into the cake just after taking this photo and having the first slice, followed very quickly by the rest of our team!
It was run day for my daughter Dabby-dot today, allowing me the perfect way to run off the gorgeous cake. We took Isla with us and I am pleased to say she is finally starting to get the hang of running alongside us at our pace, rather than hers! Today was Dabby's second run of week 5 so the milestone W5R3 is coming up 😀!
How kind of her to make you a cake - it looks amazing! Glad you were able to run it off with Dabby-dot and Isla - I’ve been eating birthday cake this weekend and all I want to do is sit!
Not me D-d - I have 4 great nieces and nephews, all of whom have birthdays in August and September and it was a 4 year olds this weekend. I do a lot of miles going back and forth to see them - I love it!
Great run for you today, good luck to Dabby for run 3 of week 5, a lovely cake but I couldn't run after eating a little bit of it, I would have to wait at least an hour before I ran.
We ran just before dinner, so plenty of time for the cake to digest! It was so light and delicious I could easily have eaten another slice, but I was good and just had one! 🍰 😉

That is one heck of a cake and might take some running off! You are both getting closer now and good news that Isla is getting onto her stride We both know that Run 3, is just another run... steady and slowly and Dabby-dot will be on her way to the lovely relaxed running which her new legs will love
