Last month I did one single run so this month I have vowed to do better.
I had a horrible cough/cold for the last week and finally felt OK yesterday, but my husband said to give it another day to make sure I was better. I woke up at 6.45 this morning, early for me but I'm still on European time I think. My one thought was 'Run Day!'
We did 3km along our usual route. The weather was perfect (overcast and 14 C, lol, perfect for me ). The wheat and rye in the fields looked ripe and beautiful. The paths were firm underfoot, obviously not been much rain while we were away though it was a bit overgrown in places. The tide was out and the smell of damp seaweed and sulphur hit us as we climbed to the top of the sea wall. It was good to be out in our home area and even better to be running again.
Hoping July will be a good one

Thanks, frankly I could have done without the sulphur smell too but it was kind of evocative. Just hope it was from the seaweed and not the sewage outlet a bit further up the river!!
It was just fantastic to be out there with no aches, pains, cough or runny nose! (mind you, if it had been blocked enough to stop the sulphurous smell from the mud that might not have been so bad!)
