10km in 1hr 5'50"...set out a bit later than usual and had no idea when I started that there was a race on in my area - all of a sudden there were some really fit looking people running towards me, impossibly fast, so I changed to the other side of the road. VERY little traffic due to the race; I was grateful these professional looking runners were running in the opposite direction. After 5k though, I turned round. Now I was running in the same direction, enjoying the encouragement of the stewards, but being regularly overtaken by runners, some of whom seemed to be around my age, which was DIScouraging. 'Run your own race' I said to myself. And when I turned on to my homeward road, ignoring the shouts of the the stewards - "this way!", I was on my own again. Those runners had kept me occupied - and kept me going. So now I have done 10k, what next?

Completed the Magic Ju-Ju plan
Congratulations on completing your first 10K in a very good time of 1.05.50, those runners who you saw and whizzed past you were probably athletes who can run 10K in a time varying from 32 to 45 minutes, anyway well done to you.

The first 10k is magic isn’t it?
It’s not my first, I have run half marathons a few years ago. But my back is dodgy due to a road accident 34 (wow - 34?) years ago. That guy has caused me a lot of pain but also saved my life. So I can forgive the pain! Running at all is pretty magic , and I am thankful for each step.
Wow, that was an eventful first 10k. Well done! Maybe one day you'll be one of the racers😊. Congratulations!
