This run was my longest in terms of distance and duration and I'm so pleased it was a nice run to have.
Compared to my last R3 run which was 8km, this was much much better and I didn't feel sluggish until the last km (I think I'll blame the podcast here as it was making me laugh when I didn't have the breath to do so haha 😄)
I'm hot and cold at the same time and I have a headache so I'm glad I'm sitting on a marathon of a call from 10:30-17:00 today with no talking part so I don't have to think too much about anything
Keep safe all! 🙏 🏃♂️

Well done! No wonder you are chuffed, it’s a good run! And I think that once you start running for longer than an hour, it makes you realise that all things are possible 😊
Ha ha well they kept me on my toes and asked me some questions I wasn't expecting so all good there. I'm looking forward to 'just a 4km' being my next run.
Thank you. It's an Elis James and John Robins podcast from their weekly Radio X show, I'm working my way through them and am at the end of 2015 so still got a long way to go as they are on 5 Live now - lots of runs left until I catch up to the present haha
I think that definitely helps and also knowing when to rest is a good idea. I felt a bit of pain in my last 8km and decided to go anyway when in reality I shouldn't have bothered and just rested so I think that's why I was in pain the following day.
The thing that helps me recover is walking during the day of a 'long run' as sitting around all day doesn't help. Mind you, I didn't go for a walk yesterday but made sure I stood when on a call if I could.
