Well after a particularly bad nights sleep 💤 I decided to get up and go for my first run outside in about a month. I had been resting my niggly hip and last week did a couple of treadmill runs( soooo boring)
I had decided last night that today would be the day so I got up kicked the gremlins on the floor and got ready. It was about 7-45 by the time I got out. The weather was warm but overcast. I set off on my usual short run route. Only wanting to run for about 20 minutes as I didn’t want to set the niggly hip off again. What a joy to run outside. Walked up the little hill and then set off running ( just a bit faster than walking really🤣🤣🤣). First thing I noticed was that my little lambs had disappeared ☹️ But the fields were newly planted out with corn 🌽 I think. Hey ho. I suppose it’s no longer spring. I ran up to the farm and turned to come home then decided to elongate the run by a bit and turned left to run to the railway but on the way remembered the big downward hill which I don’t like running down so turned round when I got to it and proceeded to run home.
Ran for 27 minutes which was longer than I expected but really really enjoyed being back outside. I’ll see how the hip is tonight and then decide on what happens next I’m away from Thursday to Monday so might not get another chance to run this week but at least I got a run in today. Happy running 🏃♀️ 🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️Everyone. 🌸🌼🌺🌹

I agree it is warm out there but I like to run early morning as soon as I get up so it’s a bit cooler then. I like the idea of being a ‘ cool runner’ 🤣🤣🤣
Well done on a successful outdoor run today Scruff55! I’m being careful with an niggly hip as well at the moment - aren’t they a nuisance! Hopefully your hip will be ok!
🙏🙏Yes it feels ok at the moment but it’s usually night time that tells me if it’s ok to do my next run. I’m going away for a few days Thursday to Monday so will be able to give it a long rest altho I have put my running gear in the case🤣🤣hope your hip is behaving at the moment. Take it slow and steady. 🤞We’ll get through it.
That’s great to run for so long after a month of abstinence, apart from the treadmill runs. It gives me hope for my imminent return to running . I hope that your hips don’t complain 🤞🏃♀️🏃♀️🏃♀️
