Hiya,
Weather isn't looking as bad zs they predicted, but still I did not want to risk that possible storm hitting my head. So I thought to try my treadmill again.
Lazy as I am, I decided to chose the speeds that are fixed with buttons on the screen. You can increase or decrease with 0.1 km/h, but there are also 4 buttons with fixed speeds. I chose 6 km/h for running and 3 km/h for walking.
I forgot to warm up, no foam roller, no stretches, not even a warm-up walk. People, do NOT follow my example, it is bad!
As with my running outdoors I Jeffed this run, 4:30 min running + 0:30 min walking. And I must say that while normally my runs on the treadmill are pure horror, this time it felt very ok. I guess that is because I chose 6 km/h for the running part, which is much slower than normal. Outdoors I have an average of 7 km/h (running + walking), while now I had an average of 5 km/h (running + walking).
It is a pity I reached only 5.04 km in my 60 minutes, while outdoors I reach 7 km in 60 minutes. But on the positive side, I did 60 minutes on the treadmill, the most on the treadmill ever and it felt ok! So what that I reached only 5 km? I did run 60 minutes! So I know that in future with bad weather I can repeat this.
Ps. the average speed of 5 km/h and distance of 5.04 km are as per my Garmin watch combined with a footpod. My treadmill said I ran 5.5 or 5.7 km (can't remember), but I trust my footpod more.
Cheers, Evy
