I've been trying to upload my Garmin data, but it's saying there's a problem uploading the image π’
But I did it πββοΈπββοΈ
I left the house at 5:30 am to avoid the heat.. was a fantastic run.. got through to 10K and my iPod ran out of charge, so had the pleasure of bird song and sheer determination to carry on..
My hips started feeling tight at 14K but by then I was already homeward bound and basking in the thought of knowing I was going to make the distance πͺ
Can I have my badge please? ππππ
Wow I just ran 10Miles.. smiling from ear to ear πππ€£

It did around 11K ..but once I got my head around just keeping going..it was fine.. no aches at all until 14k when I started feeling tired.. but by then I knew I was making it so the joy kept me going.. βΊοΈπ
Fantastic run - 10 miles is definitely one of those landmark distances ....and you did it!πππ Big congratulations - now have a very well earned couple of rest days!π
Well done Sparky; 10 miles is a lovely distance to run. As instructor says, this means you have graduated to the very big school; 10 mile badges are awarded by the Marathon Support forum, so just flip over and they will do the necessary. Celebrate your achievement ππ. πΎπ₯
Good move sparky66 - wear that badge with pride!βΊοΈ
Well done sparky66, you deserve a medal, that was a fantastic run you must be chuffed. πββοΈπββοΈπππππββοΈπββοΈ
Huge Congratulations Sparky...what a fantastic acheivement!πͺππββοΈβyour medal is on the Marathon site as you now know...but here is one from meπ€π βOfficially awesome in my bookππxxx
Well done Caroline, that's brilliant, bet your well chuffed, and know what a good feeling it is, did mine ages ago now, ran a short 3k with my daughter, and boyfriend, on the sea front in Dover earlier! π
There seems to be something about achieving a target distance. I reckon it's either psychological or a case of subconsciously pacing for the run but, once I reach my target distance, I usually feel that I can't go on any further.
It's definitely a combination of both! Once I decide on a certain distance.. my determination sets in .. at 10k today my iPod ran out of charge, I really felt ok..10K is enough.. but... As you say I had paced myself for that distance..and just had to adjust my headspace...by the time I got to 11K no matter what it threw at me I was going to do what I set out to do ππͺ
And yes.. I couldn't have ran another K if there was a pot of gold at the end π
Wow! Well doneππππ A well deserved badge πHopefully Iβll catch you up with 10 miles in a few weeks. Iβm getting ready to do 14 but having a few off as the side of my shin sore.
