I set out early-ish this morning and was surprised by how mild it was. π₯οΈI don't normally listen to music when I run, usually nothing or talk radio. With everything that's going on at the moment I couldn't face listening to talk radio π»so decided to try the Autumn HUHM&10K Spotify playlist which had some interesting choices (The Wombles? Took me back to childhood that one). I think the music distracted me from keeping more of a consistent pace so I did flag a bit during the last 1.5k. Maybe that was due to a lack of hydration though. π° Having got to 9k I thought I'd just plough on and I'm so glad I did!! πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ I'm really happy with this milestone and achieved it before the end of this year so I'm on target. βΊοΈπ I plan to run between 8k and 10k for my Sunday long runs to consolidate. Happy running everyone.
10k - I've only gone and done it!: I set out... - Bridge to 10K
10k - I've only gone and done it!
Wow! I bet that feels great! Well done!
Thanks. I've been stressing a bit because I only did 2 runs this week but I realise I just need to go with the flow. The extra rest days must have helped.
I found 10ks a nice distance (I got injured and haven't run that distance in a while). A nice short run in between is good and best not to pressure yourself to do a 10k every week at first. Really good luck with your runs!
Congratulations on your 10K buzzards , and you can blame me for The Wombles. Remember you're a Womble was my late brother-in-law Paul's choice for the final song at his funeral. If I'm finding a run tough it helps me put things into perspective. Also, the fiddle-playing is great!
Congratulations on completing your first 10K, well done, to get your graduation badge and the word GRADUATE10 next to your username leave a message in the pinned posts on the right side of the healthunlocked December Graduate10 homepage and tell the administrators that you have ran your first 10K π π.
Oohs well done!!! Huge congratulations!
Yes, I did find that having 2-3 day recovery days before a 10k really helped running my 10ks . Enjoy!!!
Thanks, I may stick to 2 runs a week for a while. The last couple of weeks I've been really tired and skipped my Friday runs. I like to do 3 runs a week for consistency but I need to listen to my body and be guided by it. I think more strength work and yoga will help me.
Congratulations and very well done on getting to 10K. It is a great milestone.
Congratulations. You are now wombling free!!
Well done..πππππx2.
Fantastic! Well done!!
Congratulations on your first 10k π₯³ππ»ππ»ππ»π Thatβs quite some distance! Look on a map and see whatβs 10 miles away as the crow flies and youβll be amazed! π²I run one 5 or 6k a week and one8 -10k per week depending on time and the route I choose. I struggle to fit in a third run with work and family. Itβs become quite comfortable now and I never thought Iβd hear myself saying that! π²π.
Congrats again β
Well done buzzards! What an achievement, you earned a nice cuppa and some biscuits I reckon π. Hurrah ππππββοΈ.
Thank you. I had a hard boiled egg wrap afterwards for breakfast (delish)πand chocolateπ« later on in the day!
Congratulations ππΌ Enjoy your long runs!
Thanks. I'm really looking forward to them and trying some new routes.
Well done ππΌππΌππΌ
Thanks very much.
