Work was fine and I left at 4pm so on time, so….. the garmin plan didn’t work for me and I quit, so looked at NRC half marathon plan, it’s a bit more flexible and I can move the runs around.

Today decided to run the 15 minute run, I’ve been clearing out at work and been on my feet pretty much all day.

Park was quite busy, Willow has decided to work on speed because however slow he starts he just can’t keep going as long as me. Nice warm up walk, it is beautiful in the park, little breeze making us wonder if we should have worn sleeves, and off we go.

Willow ran on ahead and ran a kilometre in just over 8 minutes turned and walked back to the car.

I ran a little faster and listened to Coach Bennett, ran for 15 minutes and walked back to the car, average pace 9.16 which isn’t fast but looking back it’s faster than I’ve run in months and wasn’t too out of breath, legs felt ok

I’m great at starting things and fizzling out so we’ll see how long I can keep this up, tomorrow I’ve chosen long run, 5k that I know I can do slowly after work, not sure I could do the speed run justice so saving that for Tuesday which will be a day off.

I do like a plan, have fun all and good luck all racers today and tomorrow.

Great run for willow good time as well.My first 1km was always my slowest time , that’s when I needed to try and run faster then . Your time was good as well, your better building it up. Good that your not out of breath as well.hope u enjoy your 5 km tomorrow. Think I’m going to do my walk but last 1 km jog on grass slowly around pitch , so not much pounding .

Well done especially as you were on your feet all day. I think I looked at some of the Garmin plans and they weren’t for me either. Good luck with that 5k! 😊😊😊

As I start an hour later at the weekends and yesterday was wide awake at my weekday time I had thought if i wake early today I’d run first thing and see how I got on but nope, almost slept through the alarm too

Today I woke just as the alarm was going to go off so ran after work instead

Go, you! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I love the NRC plan, and it really is very flexible. It’s last August when I started it with the 16k /10 mile as my target. I could have started it a few weeks in (as my long runs were already comfortably beyond 10k), but doing the whole thing looked like fun and there were the regular challenges of speed runs, which hadn’t really been part of my practice. And I was there for the journey not in any hurry to reach the destination. After reaching 16k, and taking a break, I started the next steps to HM… all went well until the accident. I’m currently working my way back into the plan Hopefully, though, I’ll get there before 12 months are up! Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.🙌🏃‍♀️🤞
