I came here to write a post and saw one from Yesletsgo which I read and smiled and felt the frustration of a playing up NRC app then smiled widely at the letโ€™s run 9 ๐Ÿ˜€

This was yesterdays run but I didnโ€™t sleep at all Saturday night, not quite sure why, at 5am I started online training for work and at 11am I climbed into bed and promptly fell asleep for an hour, in the afternoon I updated a care plan and in the evening I pinned my eyes open and stayed awake til 9pm slept like a log too.

Finished work at 4pm today, put something in the oven and off I went.

The last of week one for NRC Half Marathon plan. A 25 minute easy run, didnโ€™t have a clue where to go as was on my own, Willow is on the beach with his grands.

I did enjoy this run, walked a few minutes, ran along the road, whatโ€™s that smell? turned my head, roses ooo lovely, no cars when I reached the main road so crossed, is that a close? ran closer and saw itโ€™s a drive, turned down there and, ooo lovely smell, peonies, later lilac just coming out, I do like running past front gardens.

Coach Bennett told me how important easy runs are and I believe him, I ran along enjoying the sights and smells of flowers, breathing easy, after all Iโ€™ve been at work all day, second kilometre second half of run and coach Bennett tells me I may be running a little faster, may feel a little stronger, so I did ๐Ÿ˜€ always do what Iโ€™m told ๐Ÿ˜‚

Turn for home after running round roads I didnโ€™t know were there, and the run is done ๐Ÿ˜

Still a way from home so walk, listening to Elton John, smiling at the feeling of peace and happiness, week one done so 5 runs down

Have fun smile and go out if you can

I just love a plan but recognise i might fizzle out, and the man with the knife will tell me his plan on 7th June so that might put me back a bit

Ooooh I didn't realise you were on NRC's HM plan! How exciting!! I'm going to re-start it in the next couple of weeks, I need to get some more 'back after a short break' runs in first. Are you doing all 5 runs per week? Many congratulations on completing week 1 ๐Ÿ˜ƒOnly 13 weeks to go ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

What a lovely run SueAppleRun , glad I made you smile :) I've turned off automatic stop/start on my NRC app so hopefully it won't be so annoying tomorrow.

I love your description of the flower smells, isn't it wonderful this time of year? My garden is tiny but I have honeysuckle, roses and jasmine plus a few other scented flowers to enjoy when it's warm and dry enough to lie on the lawn for my cool down stretches.

Enjoy the HM plan, I started it and really felt a lot of progress but life sort of intervened, maybe I'll try again.
